To get the QUICKEST results from 20 Cogs:
- Click on Cog 1, look for any 14 or 30 Day ‘Free Trial’ offers by clicking 'alternate offer'. If there are none, click to take any offer. A new page will open. Just close that down and go back to Cog 1, you will now be able to move on to Cog 2.
- Continue looking through each Cog and any 14/30 Day ‘Free Trial’ offers you find, use them for that cog. Take the offer and sign up to the sites. If you are already a member of a site (like Amazon Prime or Graze for example), you could ask you spouse/partner if they are happy to take the trial. If this is not an option do not worry, there are other offers and these regularly change
- On each free trial, ensure to check in the ‘My Account’ areas when the next payment is due to be taken. Make a note/reminder/huge sticky note on your TV or fridge etc. of what day these trials expire. All trials can be cancelled via the ‘My Account’ sections so you don’t need to ring anyone up or post any letters. As long as I cancel the day before a payment is due, I have never had any company take money from me following a free trial. The payment date is usually the date after the trial ends but I always check the ‘My Account’ section to clarify this. As long as you don’t cancel until the day before a payment would be taken, you will have completed the free trial and your cog will no doubt have turned green long before this.
- After completing the 'Free Trial' cogs, move onto the cog offers that do not require signing up or payment. These sites are usually quiz or questionnaire type sites. Follow the instructions for that cog but do not feel you have to accept any further offers the websites you register with present to you.
- Save any ‘paid’ cogs until last. These are usually the most lucrative. You may be asked to pay £5 to buy a product (i.e. a food prep box) but are then paid £15 back. If you do these last then you will receive your ‘investment’ back much more quickly. Just as with ‘free trials’, check for when to cancel any subscription payments that will kick in after your free product/trial.
Top Tips:
- As mentioned at the start, a clean email address will be beneficial. Also if you have any issues with a cog not turning green, you will have email evidence of taking part in an offer and can find it easily.I found their customer services really helpful. If a cog doesn’t change colour just email them and they sort it out quickly.
- Be organised. Have your dates written down so that you don’t need to rely on your memory. I find a table listed 1 - 20 and writing down the offer I took next to each cog helps me remember which offer I took if I need to chase up a cog colour-change. This is important because some offers appear on more than one cog.
- If you find you cannot take any offers on a cog, keep checking back regularly and the cog offers change. If after a while you still cannot take any of the offers (due to having existing accounts), contact their customer services who may be able to advise how to move forward - you may be able to take a new offer in a completed cog if there is any duplicates in your remaining cog that could be ‘moved’.
